The UGA Office of Information Security would like to remind everyone of the Cyber Security Awareness Month Events taking place on Monday, October 23. All events are in the Tate Student Center, with a keynote address by Bobby Stanley, Special Agent for Cyber and High-Tech Crimes, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, at 9:00am in the Georgia Hall.
Mr. Stanley's keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion with campus and Athens community security experts, beginning at 10:00am in the Georgia Hall. Dr. Barbara White, UGA Chief Information Officer and Associate Provost, will present closing remarks at 11:30.
Also on October 23 is the Computer Health and Security Fair. The fair will take place from Noon to 4:00pm in the Tate Center Art Gallery. Attendees are invited to bring their laptops in for a "security checkup" on a first-come, first-served basis.
