Spring 2007 schedules

With advising about to begin in the near future, the current versions of the Spring 2007 INTL undergraduate and graduate course schedules have been posted online here. Please note that more classes will likely be added to the undergraduate schedule over the next couple of months, so don't look at these as the final versions.

Welcome back!

A Welcome Back to everyone as begin yet another academic year at UGA, and the Department of International Affairs begins its fourth academic year in existence. We would also like to welcome two new faculty members to our roster: Dr. Brock Tessman and Dr. Mia Bloom. Dr. Tessman comes to us from the University of Denver, with research interests in American foreign policy and international security. Dr. Bloom comes to us from the University of Cincinnati and specializes in terrorism and gender & conflict.

Also deserving of welcomes this week are Emma-Kate Shellman, the daughter of Dr. Steve Shellman and his wife Sherry, born August 21; and Lane Holloway, the daughter of Joy Holloway--the Director of PR in SPIA--and her husband Jay, born on August 23. So welcomes and congratulations to them from the IA department.

Two upcoming dates of note. No classes on Monday, September 4 for Labor Day, and the midterm withdrawal deadline is Monday, October 9.
